Civic Engagement
Parents often take the lead in promoting activities that benefit not only their own families but also the greater community. Over the years, parents enrolled in WFSC have served as leaders for social justice and human rights. Parent leadership at WFSC has also included educating families, friends, and neighbors about the importance of voting in every election.
Wake Up the Vote
By voting, our residents will see that we as a community have a say in the big picture of politics. When we make history with the highest voter turnout, neighbors will take pride in knowing they were part of it.
Our first goal is to increase voter turnout in Wilkinsburg. Our second goal is to document how we did it so other communities can do the same. The objective is to bring the community together and make Wilkinsburg known as the borough with the highest voter turnout in any election.
